What's on in Swansea this Christmas

It’s officially the festive season and that means there are lots of Christmassy things to see and do in Swansea. We’ve put together a list to keep the whole family entertained this December!

Festive Afternoon Tea (With Mr and Mrs Claus)

This year Santa has taken time out of his busy schedule to visit Mumbles pier. Letter writing, the grotto and your own elf experience are what you can expect from your afternoon. Fun for all the family, get more information here.

Christmas Market

2021 see's the first-ever Christmas market at Mumbles. So whether it’s for the food or mulled wine, carols or the stalls, they have something for everyone. There are even elves and a grotto just for the little ones. For opening times and further information click here

The West End at Christmas

Stars from the West End are here to entertain this Christmas. Featuring hits from classic West End favourites, performances include Les Mis, Starlight Express and Wicked, as well as much much more. Find out more information here. 

Evening Wreath Workshop (with prosecco and a mince pie)

Hosted by Bronleigh House, kickstart the festivities by learning how to make a wreath. For the price of your ticket you will get the materials, guidance and even a mince pie. Find out more here.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves

We love a Christmas pantomime…“Oh no you don’t”... Oh yes we do! Come one and all down to Swansea Grand Theatre from the 10th - 16th December 2021. Join Colin Jackson, Kev Johns, Jon Clegg and Zoe George in this year's show, in a performance of comedy, song and dance. Fun for all the family. Get your tickets here! 

Waterfront Winterland

Here until 2nd January, Museum Park has been transformed into the Waterfront Winterland. Complete with festive alpine bars, a funfair and an ice skating rink, it’s the perfect place to eat, drink and be merry this December. 

Glynn Vivian Art Gallery

Fancy something a bit different this Christmas? Open until the 24th of December, the Glynn Vivian Art boasts some beautiful pieces. 'Indigo: Collections, Conservation, Chemistry' is one of the exhibits shown at the gallery. Ticket booking is required.

BBC NOW Christmas Celebrations
