At Dawsons we understand our most valuable resource is our strong team of local experienced property experts, assisting our clients with ‘all things property’ such as: property sales, rentals, mortgage and financial advice, a dedicated auction dept, and a land and new homes team.

Being a local independent partnership, we have continuously grown since inception in 1991 to now having over 120 employees within our branches covering Swansea, Llanelli and surrounding areas. We are extremely proud to note that over 60% of our team have been with us for over 10 years, with many of these being 20 years +, this is due to the investment in our team’s training and development along with the encouragement for our staff members to grow individually alongside the business.

A testament to ‘team Dawsons’ for their hard work and dedication to our clients is the numerous local, regional, and national awards that we have won over the years.

Are you passionate about property and people? We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Residential Sales Property Consultant to join our busy and highly successful Sketty branch.

This is an excellent opportunity to join Swansea’s leading, multi-award-winning independent estate agents, where you’ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team that truly cares about delivering exceptional results for clients.

About the Role:
You’ll be the face of the branch, building relationships, generating new business, and guiding clients through the sales process with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Registering and qualifying buyers
  • Arranging and conducting property viewings
  • Negotiating sales and managing offers
  • Supporting the branch in winning new instructions and growing the client base

Residential Lettings Finance Clerk

Location: Walter Road, Swansea

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs) – Mon–Thu 9am–5:30pm, Fri 9am–5pm

Dawsons Swansea’s Leading Lettings Agency with 5 dedicated branches across Swansea and Llanelli, is looking for a suitable candidate to join their busy, experienced, and motivated residential lettings accounts department based in our Swansea (Walter Road) branch.

Dawsons pro-active approach to lettings and our ability to provide our clients with a quick and efficient personal service, is foremost in our thinking. Our market is competitive, so we need someone that is highly energetic and willing to go that extra mile to get the job done.

Along with the current and key accounts staff, the successful candidate will be responsible for general accounts and book-keeping, as well as day to day interaction with clients, and staff throughout the department.

The Role, will be responsible for;

  • Receiving rental payments and allocating to the correct account.
  • Preparing the rent returns and rental statements to clients.
  • Liaising with the managers regarding charges to be made to client accounts.
  • Recording expenditure on the database.
  • Ensuring that monthly payments are received and chasing when needed.
  • Answering queries from occupiers, and landlords.
  • Performing bank reconciliations.
  • Maintaining a backup ledger of the monthly reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical, written and communication skills and will be keen to progress and will possess:

  • A professional, positive, and enthusiastic approach.
  • A strong customer focus.
  • Will possess great self-motivation.
  • Great accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on your own as well as in a team.
  • Intermediate MS Word, Excel, & Outlook skills as a minimum.

Preferable Candidates will possess:

  • Experience preferred in the industry or 1 years accounting in a similar environment.
  • Experience with industry or comparable software.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service from initial enquiry through to move-in.
  • Conduct accompanied viewings, negotiate contracts, and liaise between landlords and tenants, as well as accommodating the related administrative aspects.
  • Build rapport with landlords and prospective tenants, proactively growing and retaining our client base.
  • Complete accurate inventory schedules and condition reports, support routine property visits, along with end of occupation property inspections.
  • Collaborate with your branch team to exceed targets and uphold Dawsons’ high standards.

What You’ll Bring

  • Preferably at least 1 years’ experience in lettings, property, or customer service.
  • Full driving licence (essential).
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and time-management skills.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and target-driven approach.
  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Competence with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
