Our Charity Efforts are Awarded
The Dawsons team have always considered our corporate social responsibility as a very high priority and fundraising for local and national charities is always on the agenda.
This year alone we have fundraised for 6 charities, and have a few more planned for the rest of the year.
Of course, all of our fundraising efforts are promoted through our social media channels by our marketing team at JP Gardner & Associates and that ensures we raise as much money as possible for the charities we are supporting and can give them a good 'shout out' at the same time. Jane Gardner, the property marketing expert at JP Gardner & Associates is a director of the Board at Agents Giving Charity and nominated our marketing co-ordinator Naomi Webbord to become a Regional Ambassador of the charity at the start of 2021. This brought about an even greater fundraising focus for Dawsons, as Naomi represents all estate and letting agents in South Wales and helps them with fundraising grants, event organisation and promotion, via our property industry charity.
Agents Giving Charity is the main property industry charity and helps all estate agents, letting agents and property industry suppliers with their own fundraising efforts for any UK charity, whether they are taking on small, medium or large events such as coffee mornings, foodbank collections to running the London Marathon or climbing Kilimanjaro!
It was an absolute honour, therefore, to be nominated for a Fundraising Award at the Agents Giving Ball, and to win the BEST SOCIAL MEDIA AWARD for our fundraising, presented by the Agents Giving charity patron, TV personality from "Location, Location, Location" Phil Spencer (who is absolutely lovely) and our marketing guru, Jane Gardner, seen in the photo with Naomi Webborn of Dawsons Marketing & Operations Team. In fact, it was at the Agents Giving Awards Ceremony that our senior partner, Chris Hope, got chatting to the MD of Thomas Morris Estate Agents in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, and they decided on a challenge for each agency to walk or run 198 miles - the distance from Dawsons Mumbles office to Thomas Morris HQ - and the loser was to pay £500 to the Agents Giving Charity. Still to come this year we have our Christmas fundraising for the Mr X Appeal for underprivileged local children in Swansea. The Dawsons offices (COVID restrictions permitted) will be collecting Christmas Presents for Mr X, more details will be on our Facebook Page.
