Fine & Country Swansea is proud to confirm Faith in Families Swansea received a £1,000 grant from The Fine & Country Foundation, as a result of an application via the Foundations Spring Grant, this will help transform lives across Swansea Bay through Faith in Families Community Cwtches and Multibank.
The Fine & Country Foundation announced the recipients of the Spring 2025 grants, totalling £50,572.00, bringing the grand total to over £1,060,000 donated to charities around the world since its inception in 2014. We are extremely pleased to confirm that Faith in Families were among the 29 beneficiaries, who our team at Fine & Country Swansea nominated. They were selected to receive funding to continue their vital work supporting vulnerable individuals in the community.
The biannual grant scheme, held in Spring and Autumn each year, provides a lifeline to charities tackling the issues of homelessness and poverty. With the recent grants, The Foundation continues its commitment to empowering organisations across the UK and internationally to make a tangible difference in the lives of those most in need.
The generous funding will allow Faith in Families to host Community Cwtch Days during the school term, providing a safe, warm, and welcoming environment for children and families. These special days offer children a space to play, be fed, and engage in enriching activities, while parents can access essential items, such as toothpaste, shampoo, and deodorant, through our innovative Multibank at Cwtch Mawr.
"Our Community Cwtches are about more than just services, they’re about belonging, dignity, and hope," said Cherrie Bija, CEO of Faith in Families. "This grant will directly support families facing poverty, trauma, and crisis, building resilience and community spirit when it’s needed most."
Founded in 1999, Faith in Families now operates three vibrant Community Cwtches based in the most deprived areas of Swansea. In addition to day-to-day support, we are proud to run Wales' first Multibank at Cwtch Mawr (‘Big Hug’), working with over 108 charity groups and care professionals to distribute essential goods to those who need them most.
The £1,000 grant will enable us to continue fostering volunteering, support networks, and dignity among families navigating difficult times, ensuring that no child in Swansea Bay is left without the basics, or without the opportunity to thrive.
