The Big Sleep Out 2024 - Guess who will be sleeping rough on 15th November 2024
With just over 4 weeks to go until ‘The Big Sleep Out’ Team Dawsons have committed to SLEEP ROUGH on Friday 15th November 2024 to raise awareness of Homelessness here in Swansea.
Whilst thankfully homelessness hasn’t directly affected us, we all know or have spoken with someone who is/was street homeless. We assist people move home every day, so to help raise much needs funds and awareness for those out there on the streets of Swansea, we are going to sleep out in the elements for one night.

Who with:
Tom Hope (Fine & Country Swansea), Kate Phillips (IT and Proceses Dawsons, and Training Provider at Dawsons Training Wales) along with Naomi Webborn (Marketing for Dawsons and Training Provider at Dawsons Training Wales) will be sleeping rough with some of the Swansea City FC, Foundation, DSA and many more. Whilst in all fairness to Chris Hope and Ricky Purdy they wanted to sign up, they are in fact at another event representing Dawsons.
Who For?
We shall be joining a collection of individuals and business's to support Swansea City AFC Foundation and Matthew’s House as they partner up to raise awareness of homelessness.
Sleeping out for one night is no comparison to the realities of homelessness, but it does give a better understanding of what some people are dealing with everyday.
The Foundation is inviting individuals and businesses to sign up to spend the night at the Swansea.com Stadium and raise crucial funds for Matthew’s House and Swansea City AFC Foundation, with both charities working to tackle homelessness head on.
This year’s event will take place on Friday November 15 2024, almost exactly one year on from last year’s ‘Swans Big Sleep Out’ which raised over £28,000.
“Homelessness, in particular sleeping rough, is not straightforward, and this crucial event helps to raise awareness of some of the complicated realities of the issue. It also highlights the work we do, and the wonderful volunteers we have, so that more people in the city can get involved.
“Matthew’s House has been supporting people in Swansea for eight years and we know that working together with friends and partners is always better for everyone. This event does exactly that.”
