Sponsorship Announcement for January 2023
It seems that the years really do "flitter by" as time passes, it seems merely weeks ago that we were welcoming 2022 and then with a blink of an eye its 2023. With this in mind we would like to announce that for our first sponsorship of 2023 we have sponsored January in the 2023 Many Tears Calendar.

Many Tears Animal Rescue (MTAR) is based in Carmarthenshire, now homing in excess of 3,000* dogs a year. MTAR do not shy away from challenges, the majority of their dogs are ex-breeding dogs some of whom have never had the chance to be a dog before, the concept of grass and play being completely alien to these poor souls upon arrival at the rescue, others have been rescued from "last day pound" situations, whereby the dog has not been reclaimed from the pound and sadly the pounds could no longer keep them, so Many Tears swoop in and give these dogs a chance at finding a home. Staff, fosterers and volunteers work tirelessly to help the dogs adapt into the new environments, gently helping them to realise that they are now safe.
Where possible MTAR will move dogs into "foster homes" they have fosterers all across the UK and so when looking on the website at the available animals you may see that some aren't located on site, the wonderful fosterers help these dogs adjust, providing extra care where required, unlimited patience in some cases and so much love. It's not an easy task to see the fear and hurt in these little ones eyes, but following stories, it is clear that the fosterers staff and volunteers alike, all feel it the first time a frightened dog shows a spark of hope, when they wag their tail for the first time or don't hide in a corner as they are approached. And it is for that reason the rescue does what it does.
All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed when they come to the rescue, however due to the conditions some of the animals arrive from many need specialist care, since the rescue is a charity** all of these treatments are funded by donations that come in to the rescue.
