Dawsons Hop into Action again for the 2026 Easter Egg Appeal for Local Foodbanks

Easter is a time of kindness, community, and coming together, and once again, all of us at Dawsons, CLC, Dawsons Training Wales, and Fine & Country Swansea are joining forces to spread a little joy this Easter.

We are proud to continue our annual Easter egg collection in partnership with Agents Giving. For nearly a decade, our branches have opened their doors as drop-off points, inviting our wonderful clients, colleagues, and local communities to donate Easter eggs for families in need.

This initiative has become a truly special tradition for us, and every year we are blown away by the generosity shown across Swansea, Llanelli and beyond. Each Easter egg donated helps bring a smile to a child’s face, something small that can make a big difference to families facing difficult times.

All donations will once again be delivered to our local Trussell Trust foodbanks, including Swansea, Llanelli, Gorseinon, Lifepoint, and St Thomas, where they will be distributed in time for Easter food collections.

Why It Matters

Easter is one of the busiest times of year for Swansea Foodbank, with centre's across Clydach, Gorseinon, Mayhill, Penlan, Port Tennant, and Uplands supporting thousands of people in crisis.

This year, there is a particularly urgent need for support at centre's including Port Tennant, Mayhill, and Lifepoint Church in Uplands, where supplies are currently running low.

While Easter eggs bring joy and a sense of normality for children, foodbanks are also calling for essential everyday items, including:

  • Instant coffee
  • Tinned meats (ham, chicken, corned beef, stewed steak)
  • Long-life UHT milk and fruit juice
  • Tinned fruit and custard
  • Pasta or curry sauces
  • Toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel, and deodorant
  • Household essentials like laundry products and washing-up liquid

Every donation, whether it’s an Easter egg, a few cupboard staples, or toiletries, helps provide real, practical support to local families.

How You Can Help

Getting involved is simple:

  • Donate an Easter egg at any Dawsons branch
  • Add any essential food or household items if you can
  • Encourage your workplace, family, or friends to get involved

Deadline for donations: Wednesday 1st April (morning)

This allows us to ensure all items reach foodbanks in time for their Thursday collections ahead of Easter.

If you’re unable to donate in person, you can also support local foodbanks via supermarket donation points across Swansea and Llanelli or by making a contribution online via the Swansea Foodbank,

You can find the addresses of local foodbank centre's and the times each centre is open here: https://swansea.foodbank.org.uk/locations/

A Community Effort

Over the years, we have seen first-hand how powerful community spirit can be, from families dropping in eggs with their children to local businesses organising workplace collections. Every contribution helps us make a meaningful impact.

As a locally owned business, giving back to our community is at the heart of everything we do, not just at Easter, but all year round.

If you or someone you know needs additional support, help and guidance can be found via the Trussell Trust.

Let’s work together to make this Easter a little brighter for local families.

Thank you for your continued support, and Happy Easter from all of us at Dawsons.
