Restart a Heart Across the UK - Starting with Team Dawsons
At Dawsons, community is at the heart of everything we do. This year, we are proud to be the first estate agency in the UK to join forces with Heartbeat Trust UK to support Restart a Heart Day on 16th October 2025.
Our campaign begins right here in Swansea, the UK’s first defib-friendly city and we hope to spark something much bigger across our industry and beyond. Working alongside Heartbeat Trust UK, every single member of our Dawsons team will undergo specialist training in the coming weeks, learning how to use defibrillators and Multi Trauma Boxes (which include Critical Bleed Control (CBC) Kits). These vital tools save lives, and our mission is simple: to raise awareness, dispel myths, and give our community the confidence to use them if ever needed.
WHY NOW?
Earlier this year, industry trainer Stephen Brown shared his powerful story of saving a stranger’s life using a defib. His experience underlined just how vital it is for us all to know where these life-saving devices are and how to use them. That moment of courage inspired us to act – and to use our platform to create change.
WHAT WE ARE DOING
Branch-wide training: From Sketty to Llanelli, every Dawsons branch will take part in live sessions with Doug from Heartbeat Trust UK, ensuring our entire team is equipped and informed.

Competitions and campaigns: Ahead of Restart a Heart Day, we’ll run fun team competitions to engage our branches while raising awareness in our communities.

Community promotion: On the 16th of October, we’ll join Heartbeat Trust UK in Swansea, showcasing how simple these devices are to use, signposting to their locations, and answering questions from the public.
WHY IT MATTERS
Every second counts in a medical emergency. Defibrillators and CBC kits can be the difference between life and death, but too often they go unnoticed, or people feel unsure about using them. By normalising the conversation and leading by example, we aim to change that, starting in Swansea, and then across the UK with the support of Agents Giving.
This isn’t just about training, it’s about creating a ripple effect of awareness, confidence, and preparedness. And if even one life is saved because of this campaign, it will all have been worth it.
