Dawsons join the Agents Giving Frosty Footsteps Challenge as the Swansea Stompers

Why are we taking on the Frosty Footsteps Challenge?

Supported by the Swansea City Foundation once again, our team of wonderful walkers: the Swansea Stompers will be stepping up to make a difference by taking on the Agents Giving Frosty Footsteps Challenge, between 1st January and 28th February 2025, members of Team Dawsons will be walking 100,000 steps to raise vital funds for Crisis, the national charity working tirelessly to end homelessness.

We will be collectively taking on Pen-Y-Fan on Sunday 23rd February 2025, with Team Dawsons alongside members of our LOCAL crisis team, and other industry colleagues working together to make a difference.

Every single donation will help Crisis provide life-changing support, including safe housing, education, and employment services, giving people the tools they need to leave homelessness behind for good. For us, it’s about more than just walking, it’s about taking meaningful steps towards a brighter future for those in need. Every step represents hope, and every pound raised will bring us closer to a world without homelessness.

Crisis is the National Charity for those who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. At Crisis South Wales, we work with people across Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot to help them rebuild their lives and leave homelessness behind for good. We do much of this work through our Skylight centre, based on St Helen’s Road, Swansea.

How we can help depends on the individual’s situation and needs but we can support individuals with finding a home and settling in, finding work and applying for jobs, looking after your health and wellbeing. We also conduct research to understand the causes and impacts of homelessness, as well as campaigning for changes to solve the homelessness crisis.

"We’re thrilled to have Dawson’s on board, supporting Crisis through their ‘Frosty Footsteps’ fundraiser. It’s a great way to raise funds and awareness for our cause, as well as motivating individuals to get more active in the New Year. We’re looking forward to joining staff for the hike up Pen Y Fan and hope that everyone is motivated to support a fantastic cause."
